The Subcommittee on Electoral Boundaries Readjustment of the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met at 3:57 p.m. this day, in Room 371, West Block, the Chair, Paddy Torsney, presiding.
Members of the Subcommittee present: Rick Borotsik, Yvon Godin, Marcel Proulx, Scott Reid and Paddy Torsney.
In attendance: From the Committees Directorate: Bibiane Ouellette, Committee Clerk. From the Library of Parliament: John Wright, Research Officer. From the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Canada: André Cyr, Project Manager, Electoral Geography Division, Register and Geography Directorate.
Witnesses: From the House of Commons: John Maloney, Erie—Lincoln; Hon. Steve Mahoney, Mississauga West; Janko Peric, Cambridge; Albina Guarnieri, Mississauga East; Gurbax Malhi, Bramalea—Gore—Malton—Springdale; Hon. Susan Whelan, Essex.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs on Thursday, November 7, 2002, the Subcommittee resumed consideration of the matter of the objections to the report of the electoral boundaries commission for Ontario.
