The Subcommittee on Electoral Boundaries Readjustment of the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met at 4:15 p.m. this day, in Room 307, West Block, the Chair, Paddy Torsney, presiding.
Members of the Subcommittee present: Rick Borotsik, Yvon Godin, Michel Guimond, Marcel Proulx, Scott Reid and Paddy Torsney.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: John Wright, Research Officer. From the Office of the Chief of Electoral Office: André Cyr, Project Manager, Electoral Geography Division, Register and Geography Directorate.
Witnesses: From the House of Commons: John McKay, Scarborough East; Hon. Don Boudria, Glengarry—Prescott—Russell; Mario Laframboise, Argenteuil—Papineau—Mirabel; Robert Bertrand, Pontiac—Gatineau—Labelle; David Price, Compton—Stanstead; Georges Farrah, Bonaventure—Gaspé—Îles-de-la-Madeleine—Pabok.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs on Thursday, November 7, 2002, the Subcommittee commenced consideration of the matter of the objections to the report of the electoral boundaries commission for Quebec.
