A meeting of the Working Group on the LTVP and the Centre Block Rehabilitation was held in camera by videoconference on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at 11:06 a.m.

Present: Carol Hughes, Louis Plamondon, Martin Shields, Hon. Ginette Petitpas Taylor, Ryan Turnbull

Also Present: Michel Patrice, Deputy Clerk, Administration; Stéphan Aubé, Chief Information Officer; Susan Kulba, Director General and Executive Architect, Real Property; Rob Wright, Assistant Deputy Minister, Science and Parliamentary Infrastructure Branch, Public Services and Procurement Canada; Jennifer Garrett, Director General, Centre Block Program, Public Services and Procurement Canada

OVERVIEW OF THE WORKING GROUP MANDATE

Michel Patrice, Deputy Clerk, Administration, presented an overview of the working group mandate and answered questions.

BRIEFING ON THE LONG TERM VISION AND PLAN AND THE PARLIAMENT WELCOME CENTRE

Susan Kulba, Director General and Executive Architect, Real Property, and Jennifer Garrett, Director General, Centre Block Program, Public Services and Procurement Canada, provided a briefing on the Long Term Vision and Plan and the Parliament Welcome Centre and, with Michel Patrice, Deputy Clerk, Administration, Stéphan Aubé, Chief Information Officer, and Rob Wright, Assistant Deputy Minister, Science and Parliamentary Infrastructure Branch, Public Services and Procurement Canada, answered questions.

It was agreed, – That, in relation to Phase 2 of the Parliament Welcome Centre, the working group recommend the medium option of 32,600 m2.

OTHER MATTERS

Working group members discussed other matters related to the Centre Block rehabilitation program.
