The Standing Committee on National Defence and Veterans Affairs met at 3:38 p.m. this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Chair, David Pratt, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Rob Anders, Leon Benoit, Robert Bertrand, Joe McGuire, John O'Reilly, Janko Perić, David Pratt, Peter Stoffer, Elsie Wayne, Bob Wood.
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Wolf Koerner and Michel Rossignol, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From the Conference of Defence Associations: Lt-Gen (Retired) Richard J. Evraire, Chairman; Col (Retired) Alain Pellerin, Executive Director.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), discussion on the State of Readiness of the Canadian Forces and on Budgetary Issues.
Lieutenant-General Evraire made an opening statement and, with the other witness, answered questions.
At 5:30 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
