Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, June 20, 2022, the committee resumed its study of the sexual and reproductive health and rights of women globally.

The committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

At 11:16 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:34 a.m., the sitting resumed.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Canada’s approach to sexual and reproductive health and rights".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be in Calibri 12-point font, left aligned, single-spaced, and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the committee, not later than 5:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That,


(a) the committee schedule meetings as part of its study of the situation at the Russia-Ukraine border and implications for peace and security to investigate the food and fuel security implications of Russia's illegal invasion and Canada's response to these challenges, with at least two meetings dedicated to food security and at least two meetings dedicated to fuel security, and that a witness list submission deadline for these meetings be set to Friday, September 1, 2023;


(b) the most recently distributed June calendar be adopted;


(c) the committee not hold meetings on any new studies until its existing studies are complete, provided that ‘existing studies’ are understood to be studies where hearings will take place prior to the end of June, provided that the Iran study will also be considered an existing study, provided that the committee will always consider the estimates and provided that the committee may choose to make additional exceptions to this rule in response to emerging event;


(d) the Chair schedule meetings within the above parameters at his discretion, provided that meeting notices are issued at least 72 hours in advance.

By unanimous consent, it was agreed, — That an electronic communication be distributed to members in French only.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the violations of human rights driving migration in Central and South America, the proposed budget in the amount of $ 107,540.13, for the subcommittee on International Human Rights travel to United States of America and Colombia in fall 2023, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the destabilizing impacts of the Wagner Group, members submit their prioritized witness lists by 5:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, June 6, 2023.

At 12:33 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
