Pursuant to the order of reference of Wednesday, January 27, 2021, the committee commenced consideration of Bill C-224, An Act to amend An Act to authorize the making of certain fiscal payments to provinces, and to authorize the entry into tax collection agreements with provinces.

Gabriel Ste-Marie made a statement and answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

On motion of Ted Falk, it was agreed, — That Pat Kelly be elected First Vice-Chair of the committee.

On motion of Gabriel Ste-Marie, it was agreed, — That the committee thank and congratulate the outgoing vice-chair, Mr. Poilievre, and that the committee thank him for all his work and all the good debates we have had on this committee.
