Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, December 6, 2018, the Committee resumed its study of international best practices for engaging with indigenous communities regarding major energy projects.

Isaac Laboucan-Avirom and Craig Benjamin made statements and answered questions.

At 4:29 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:35 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Dawn Madahbee Leach made a statement.

By unanimous consent, it was agreed, — That, notwithstanding the Committee routine motion on the distribution of documents, adopted on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, the Clerk be authorized to distribute documents from Steve Hemming in English only.

Steve Hemming, by videoconference from Adelaide, Australia, made a statement and, with Dawn Madahbee Leach, answered questions.

At 5:33 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
