Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, December 6, 2018, the Committee resumed its study of international best practices for engaging with indigenous communities regarding major energy projects.

Gunn-Britt Retter, by videoconference from Karasjok, Norway, Brenda Gunn, by videoconference from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Ciaran O'Faircheallaigh, by teleconference from Gold Coast, Australia, made statements and answered questions.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

Motion

Shannon Stubbs moved, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee request the Minister of Natural Resources appear before the Committee, in the next month, to answer questions related to the Trans Mountain purchase and plans to build the Trans Mountain expansion, and that this meeting be televised.

Debate arose thereon.

It was agreed, — That the debate be now adjourned.
