By unanimous consent, it was agreed, — That the motion of Scott Simms and the amendment of Scott Reid, moved on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, be withdrawn.
It was agreed, — That the Committee’s next two meetings be dedicated to the study of the question of privilege regarding the free movement of Members of Parliament within the Parliamentary Precinct; that, on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, the Analyst provide a briefing on previous questions of privilege related to this topic; and, that the clerk invite the Hon. Lisa Raitt, the Hon. Maxime Bernier, the Speaker of the House of Commons, the Acting Clerk of the House of Commons and the Director of the Parliamentary Protective Service to appear.
It was agreed, — That the clerk invite the Speaker of the House of Commons and the Chief Electoral Officer to appear in relation to the Main Estimates 2017-18.
At 12:40 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
