The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of challenges faced by senior women with a focus on the factors contributing to their poverty and vulnerability, the deadline for recommendations submitted by the parties be Thursday, May 23, 2019, at noon.

At 9:32 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:44 a.m., the sitting resumed in public.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, the Committee resumed its study of challenges faced by senior women with a focus on the factors contributing to their poverty and vulnerability.

Anita Pokiak made a statement and, with Laura Tamblyn Watts and Lori Weeks, by videoconference from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, answered questions.

At 10:45 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
