Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, October 20, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of the Canadian steel industry’s ability to compete internationally.

William Miller, Joseph Galimberti, Ian Lee and Ken Neumann made statements and answered questions.

At 4:35 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:41 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, the Committee resumed its Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP) Public Consultation.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "The Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement: Benefits and Challenges for Canadians".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting and/or supplementary opinions be in Arial 12 point font, line spacing of 1 and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the Clerk of the Committee, no later than 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 17, 2017.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

It was agreed, — That the analysts and the Clerk, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the Committee's website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House.

At 4:51 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
