Pursuant to Standing Order 106(2), the Clerk of the Committee proceeded to the election of a Vice-Chair.

It was agreed, — That Rachel Blaney be elected Second Vice-Chair of the Committee.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

On motion of Phil McColeman, it was agreed, — That the Committee invite the Minister of Veterans Affairs, the Hon. Lawrence MacAulay to appear on the Supplementary Estimates (B) on Wednesday, March 20, 2019.

Phil McColeman gave notice of the following motion:

That the Committee invite the Minister of Veterans Affairs, the Hon. Lawrence MacAulay to appear on the subject matter of Supplementary Estimates (B) on Monday, April 1, 2019.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, November 9, 2017, the Committee resumed its study of medical cannabis and veterans’ well-being.

Oyedeji Ayonrinde, Yasmin Hurd, by videoconference from New York, New York, Didier Jutras-Aswad, by videoconference from Montréal, Quebec, and Andrew Baldwin-Brown made statements and answered questions.

At 5:20 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
