The Standing Committee on Natural Resources met in camera at 8:49 a.m. this day, in Room 268, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Leon Benoit, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Leon Benoit, Kelly Block, Chris Charlton, Joan Crockatt, Ryan Leef, Christine Moore, Hon. Geoff Regan and Brad Trost.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Jean-Luc Bourdages, Analyst; Milana Simikian, Analyst.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Monday, December 9, 2013, the Committee resumed its study of the cross-Canada benefits of developing the oil and gas industry of the energy sector.
 

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

 

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

 

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "The Cross-Canada Benefits of the Oil and Gas Industry".

 

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

 

It was agreed, — That the Committee append to its report dissenting and/or supplementary opinions, immediately after the signature of the Chair, provided that they are no more than seven (7) pages in length (in Arial 12 point font, line spacing of one) and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the Clerk of the Committee, no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2014.

 

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

 

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

 

At 10:50 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
