The Standing Committee on Official Languages met in camera at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, the Hon. Michael D. Chong, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Corneliu Chisu, Hon. Michael D. Chong, Joe Daniel, Anne-Marie Day, Jacques Gourde, Claude Gravelle, Jamie Nicholls, Lise St-Denis and John Williamson.

Acting Members present: Guy Lauzon for Chungsen Leung.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Chloé Forget, Analyst ; Lucie Lecomte, Analyst ; Marie-Ève Hudon, Analyst.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(f)) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, the Committee resumed its study of the Government of Canada programs designed to promote francophone immigration into Canada's official-language minority communities (OLMCs).

The Committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

At 4:30 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:39 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the meeting of Tuesday, May 5, 2015, be cancelled.

It was agreed, — That the members of the Committee have until noon on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, to provide the Clerk with amendments to the report.

It was agreed, — That the parties shall submit their dissenting reports during the meeting of Tuesday, May 26, 2015.

It was agreed, — That consideration of the report shall conclude with the meeting of Tuesday, May 26, 2015.

At 4:46 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:46 p.m., the sitting resumed in public.

On motion of Jacques Gourde, it was agreed, — That the Committee proceed to sit in camera.

At 4:46 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:47 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

At 4:59 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
