The Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs met in camera at 8:50 a.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Vice-Chair, Peter Stoffer, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Eve Adams, Sean Casey, Sylvain Chicoine, Bryan Hayes, Wladyslaw Lizon, Irene Mathyssen, Erin O'Toole, Peter Stoffer and Bob Zimmer.

 

Acting Members present: Annick Papillon for Manon Perreault and Terence Young for Ben Lobb.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Jean-Rodrigue Paré, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: As individuals: Louise Richard; Marie Richard; Eric Daxon, Research Leader, Battelle Memorial Institute.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $8,900, for the study on Depleted Uranium and Canadian Veterans, be adopted.

 

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $36,684.08, including hospitality expenses related to working meals held during its travel to travel to Washington D.C. on April 15th and 16th, 2013, be adopted.

 

At 9:06 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:12 a.m., the sitting resumed in public.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, the Committee resumed its study of depleted uranium and Canadian veterans.
 

Louise Richard made a statement and answered questions.

 

At 10:08 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:10 a.m., the sitting resumed.

 

Eric Daxon made a statement and answered questions.

 

At 10:46 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
