Meeting No. 15

Tuesday, June 3, 2003

The Subcommittee on the Status of Persons with Disabilities of the Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met in camera at 9:12 a.m. this day, in Room 536, Wellington Building, the Chair, Carolyn Bennett, presiding.

Members of the Sub-Committee present:  Carolyn Bennett, Madeleine Dalphond-Guiral, Norman Doyle, Reed Elley, Tony Tirabassi.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: William Young, Kevin Kerr and Megan Furi, Research Officers..

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Subcommittee resumed its study of Canada Pension Plan Disability. (See Minutes of Proceedings of Wednesday November 20, 2002, Meeting no. 1).

The Subcommittee proceeded to study its draft report on the Canada Pension Plan Disability.

It was agreed,—That the Subcommittee meet jointly with the Subcommittee on Human Rights and International Development of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade during the week of June 16, 2003 to discuss the status of persons with disabilities and human rights issues in other countries.

At 10:50 a.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
