MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS

Meeting No. 52

Monday, June 9, 2003

The Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met in camera at 5:40 p.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Peter Adams, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Peter Adams, Marlene Catterall, Michel Guimond, Gerald Keddy, Lynn Myers, Jacques Saada.

Acting Members present: Larry Bagnell for Geoff Regan; Serge Marcil for Guy St-Julien; Ted White for Dale Johnston; Pat Martin for Yvon Godin.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: John M. Wright, Research Officer.

Pursuant to its mandate under Standing Order 108(3)(a)(vi), the Committee resumed consideration of matters relating to the election of Members to the House of Commons.

It was agreed, - That Gerald Keddy replace Rick Borotsik as a member of the Subcommittee on Electoral Boundaries Readjustment.

The Committee discussed its future business.

Pursuant to its mandate under Standing Order 108(3)(a)(vi), the Committee resumed consideration of matters relating to the election of Members to the House of Commons.

The Committee commenced consideration of a draft report on political financing.

It was agreed, - That the draft report be the report of the Committee and that the Chair do present it to the House.

At 6:16 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
