The Special Committee on non-medical use of drugs met at 3:32 p.m. this day, in Room 269, West Block, the Chair, Paddy Torsney, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Carole-Marie Allard, Libby Davies, Derek Lee, Réal Ménard, Paddy Torsney and Randy White.
Acting Members present: Kevin Sorenson for Carol Skelton; Peter Adams for Jacques Saada.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Chantal Collin and Marilyn Pilon, research officers.
Witnesses: From the Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse: Michel Perron, Chief Executive Officer; Dr. Colleen Anne Dell, National Research Advisor, CCENDU and HEP.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the House of Commons on Thursday, May 17, 2001, consideration of the factors underlying or relating to the non-medical use of drugs.
Michel Perron and Colleen Anne Dell made statements and answered questions.
At 5:13 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
