The Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage met at 9:02 a.m. this day, in Regina , the Chair, Clifford Lincoln, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Christiane Gagnon, Roger Gallaway, John Harvard, Wendy Lill, Clifford Lincoln and Grant McNally.
Associate Member present: Lynne Yelich.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Alan Cofman, intern; Joseph Jackson, Research Officer; Consultant: David Black.
Witnesses: From the Saskatchewan Motion Picture Association: Cindy Beland, President and CEO; Michael Snook, Board Member, CEO - Westwind Pictures. As Individual: Merran Proctor. From the Access Communications: Jim Deane, President and CEO; Marj Gavigan, Manager, Communications and Community Development. From the "Assemblée communautaire fransaskoise": Denis Desgagné, Director General; Francine Lacasse-Powers. As Individual: Alan S. Taylor.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study on the State of the Canadian Broadcasting System. (See Minutes of Proceeding, dated Thursday, November 8, 2001, Meeting No. 26).
The witnesses made statements and answered questions.
At 11:29 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 11:36 a.m., the sitting resumed.
At 12:35 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
