The Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met in a televised session at 11:10 a.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Peter Adams, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Peter Adams, Rick Borotsik, Garry Breitkreuz, Marlene Catterall, Yvon Godin, Michel Guimond, Dale Johnston, Joe Jordan, Carolyn Parrish, Geoff Regan, John Reynolds, John Richardson, Jacques Saada and Tony Tirabassi.

Other Members present: Réal Ménard, Madeleine Dalphond-Guiral, Val Meredith, Ted White, Mauril Bélanger, Keith Martin, Marcel Proulx, Derek Lee, John Bryden, Ken Epp, Gerald Keddy, Murray Calder, Paddy Torsney, Jason Kenney, Stéphane Bergeron, Bob Mills, David Anderson.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: James Robertson, research officer.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3), the Committee proceeded to the consideration of the existing procedures governing Private Members' Business.

Members of Parliament invited to participate in the roundtable discussion exchanged views with Members of the Committee.

At 1:35 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
