Thursday, February 17, 2000

The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met at 9:30 a.m. this day, in Room 705, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Bill Graham, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Jean Augustine, Bill Graham, Diane Marleau, Keith Martin, Ted McWhinney, Denis Paradis, Svend Robinson.

Acting Members present: Chuck Strahl for Keith Martin.

From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Gerald Schmitz and James Lee, Research Officers.

Witnesses: As Individual: Gwynne Dyer. From the The Ottawa Serbian Heritage Society: Radmila Swann, Spokesperson. As Individual: Serge Trifkovic.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its examination of the conflict and post-conflict periods in Kosovo. (See Minutes of Proceedings, Thursday, February 10, 2000, Meeting No. 19.)

Radmila Swann, Serge Trifkovic and Gwynne Dyer each made an opening statement and answered questions.

At 12:04 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
