The Sub-Committee on the Status of Persons with Disabilities of the Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met in a televised session at 8:45 a.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Carolyn Bennett, presiding.

Member(s) of the Sub-Committee present: Carolyn Bennett, Madeleine Dalphond-Guiral, Joe Jordan, Wendy Lill, Judi Longfield, Mark Muise and The Hon. Andy Scott.

Acting Member(s) present: Ken Epp for Deborah Grey.

Phil Jensen, Marc Lemay and Don Lenihan made a statement.

Charlie MacDonald, Elaine Chapelle, Connie Laurin-Bowie, Jerome Di Giovanni and Mary Reid made a statement.

Phil Jensen, Shulamith Medjuck, Marc Lemay and Don Lenihan answered questions.

At 9:46 a.m. the sitting suspended.

At 9:55 the sitting resumed.

Laurie Beachell, Joan Westland, Marc Pomerleau, Doreen Demas and Marie Lemieux made a statement.

At 12:10 the sitting suspended and the participants formed into round tables.

At 13:05 p.m. the sitting resumed.

Andy Scott, Madeleine Dalphond-Guiral, Ken Epp, Randy Dickinson, Carolyn Bennett and Wendy Lill summarized the roundtable discussions.

At 1:49 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
