The Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development met at 9:18 a.m. this day, in Room 705, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Guy St-Julien, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Peter Adams, John Bryden, Louise Hardy, David Iftody, Gerald Keddy, Mike Scott and Guy St-Julien.
Acting Members present: David Chatters for Derrek Konrad, Paul Crête for Claude Bachand.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Jill Wherrett, Research Officer.
Witnesses: From Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak Inc.: Jerry Primrose; From Northern Manitoba First Nation Development: Tom Nepetaypo, CEO.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study of Aboriginal Economic Development. (See minutes of Proceedings dated Tuesday, March 24, 1998, Meeting No. 21.)
The witnesses made statements and answered questions.
