Wednesday, April 29, 1998

The Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development met at 3:38 o’clock p.m., this day, in room 269, West Block, the Chair, Guy Saint-Julien, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: John Bryden, John Finlay, Ghislain Fournier,Gerald Keddy, Derrek Konrad, Bernard Patry, Guy Saint-Julien and Bryon Wilfert.

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Jill Wherrett, Research Officer.

The Order of Reference being read as follows:

ORDERED, -That Bill C-39, An Act to amend the Nunavut Act and the Constitution Act, 1867, be now read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development. (Extract from the Journals of the House of Commons of Tuesday, April 28, 1998)
