Pursuant to the order of reference of Monday, May 30, 2022, the committee resumed consideration of Bill C-13, An Act to amend the Official Languages Act, to enact the Use of French in Federally Regulated Private Businesses Act and to make related amendments to other Acts.

Motion

Joël Godin moved, — That, in the context of the study of Bill C-13, and given the issues raised by the Commissioner's brief, the Minister of Official Languages, the Minister of Canadian Heritage and the Secretary of the Treasury Board be invited to appear for two hours per minister as of Tuesday, October 18, 2022, for an appearance as soon as possible.

After debate, the question was put on the motion and it was agreed to.
