Pursuant to the order of reference of Monday, May 30, 2022, the committee resumed consideration of Bill C-13, An Act to amend the Official Languages Act, to enact the Use of French in Federally Regulated Private Businesses Act and to make related amendments to other Acts.

Roger Lepage and Étienne-Alexis Boucher made statements and answered questions.

At 11:56 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:58 a.m., the sitting resumed.

François Larocque and Ania Kolodziej made statements and answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of language regimes in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and Ireland, the proposed preliminary submission for the committee’s travel to United Kingdom and Ireland during spring 2023 be adopted.

At 12:55 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
