Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, the committee resumed its study of illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing.

Greg Witzky, Murray Ned-Kwilosintun, and Trevor Russ made statements and answered questions.

At 5:44 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:48 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $750, for the briefing of the Commissioner of Environment and Sustainable Development on his Report 9: Monitoring Marine Fisheries Catch - Fisheries and Oceans Canada, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $30,700, for the study of population sustainability of Yukon salmon stocks, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the witness list for the study on population sustainability of Yukon salmon stocks be submitted to the clerk of the committee by Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 4 p.m.

At 5:50 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
