Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, the committee commenced its study of the Destabilizing Impacts of the Wagner Group.

Heidi Hulan made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

Situation at the Russia-Ukraine Border and Implications for Peace and Security

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, January 31, 2022, the committee resumed its study of the situation at the Russia-Ukraine border and implications for peace and security.

Egidijus Meilūnas made a statement and answered questions.

Chinese Government's Residential Boarding Schools and Preschools in the Tibet Autonomous Regions and all Tibetan Autonomous Prefectures and Counties
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), and the motion adopted by the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development on Monday, December 13, 2021, the committee commenced its study of Chinese government's residential boarding schools and preschools in the Tibet autonomous region and all Tibetan autonomous prefectures and counties.

The committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "The Human Rights Situation of Tibetans and the Chinese Residential Boarding School and Preschool System".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be in Calibri 12-point font, left aligned, single-spaced, and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the committee, not later than 5:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

Committee Business
The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

ORDERED, — That, in relation to the study of the sexual and reproductive health and rights of women globally, the clerk and analysts of the committee, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the committee’s website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House.

ORDERED, — That the clerk of the committee make the necessary arrangements for a press conference to be held on Monday, June 19, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. ET, after the presentation of the committee's report to the House on the study of the sexual and reproductive health and rights of women globally; and that the committee be represented by the Chair and a representative from each party.

At 1:04 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
