Pursuant to the order of reference of Wednesday, May 17, 2023, the committee resumed consideration of Bill C-280, An Act to amend the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (deemed trust – perishable fruits and vegetables).

Brad Wiseman and Ron Lemaire made statements and answered questions.

At 7:28 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 7:40 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Environmental Contribution of Agriculture
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motions adopted by the committee on Monday, January 31, 2022, on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, and on Monday, April 17, 2023, the committee resumed its study of environmental contribution of agriculture.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 8:17 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
