Election of Chair
Pursuant to Standing Order 106(1), the Committee met for the purpose of electing a Chair. Pursuant to Standing Order 106(2), the Clerk of the Committee presided over the election of a Chair.

On motion of Francis Scarpaleggia, it was agreed, — That Nick Whalen be elected Chair of the Committee.

At 3:32 p.m., Nick Whalen took the Chair.

At 3:32 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 3:33 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Subject Matter of Clauses 291 to 300 (Part 4, Division 15) (An Act respecting the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants) of Bill C-97, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 19, 2019 and other measures
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Monday, April 29, 2019, the Committee resumed its study of the subject matter of clauses 291 to 300 (Part 4, Division 15) (An Act respecting the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants) of Bill C-97, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 19, 2019 and other measures.

ORDERED, — That the Chair send a letter to the Chair of the Standing Committee on Finance, informing him that the Committee heard from the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship and from other witnesses and that the Committee has no amendment or recommendation to forward to the Standing Committee on Finance.

Committee Business
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship be invited to appear before the Committee in relation to the study of the Main Estimates 2019-20.

At 3:41 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
