Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of the media and local communities.

Michael Geist and April Lindgren made statements and answered questions.

At 11:56 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:57 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $18,900.00, for the study of Canadian women and girls in sport, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That, notwithstanding the motion adopted on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, in relation to the study on Canadian women and girls in sport, the Committee holds an additional meeting on the subject.

At 12:03 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:04 p.m., the sitting resumed in public.

Jean-François Bernier and Helen C. Kennedy made statements and, with Luc Marchand, answered questions.

At 1:02 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
