Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, the Committee resumed its study of Canadian women and girls in sport.

Wendy Pattenden, by videoconference from Victoria, British Columbia, Lorraine Lafrenière, Marie-Hélène Thibeault, Geordie McConnell and Elio Antunes made statements and answered questions.

At 12:27 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:32 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Committee adopt the following calendar:

It was agreed, — That the Committee invite 95.7 FM (Sackville), Aboriginal Multi-Media Society (AMMSA), Canada Media Fund (CMF), Coalition of Small Market Independent Television Stations (SMITS), FM 93 Québec, Influence Communication, Neepawa and Rivers Banner, Netflix Inc., Northern News Services (Nunavut), Jacques Poitras, Radio Pirate, The Globe and Mail Inc., The Rebel Media, University Canada West, VICE Media LLC, and Moses Znaimer (ZoomerMedia Ltd.), in relation to its study of the media and local communities.

It was agreed, — That the Committee reinvite Google Canada and Facebook Inc., in relation to its study of the media and local communities.

At 1:07 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
