The Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage met in a televised session at 3:54 p.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Gary Ralph Schellenberger, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Rod Bruinooge, Dean Del Mastro, Ruby Dhalla, Shelly Glover, Carole Lavallée, Roger Pomerleau, Pablo Rodriguez, Gary Ralph Schellenberger and Tim Uppal.

 

Acting Members present: David Christopherson for Charlie Angus, Jean-Claude JC D'Amours for Scott Simms, Ed Holder for Nina Grewal and Brian Masse for Charlie Angus.

 

Associate Members present: Patrick Brown.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, the Committee continue its study on the evolution of the television industry in Canada and its impact on local communities.
 

Ivan Fecan made a statement and, with Paul Sparkes and Peggy Hebden, answered questions.

 

At 4:57 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:07 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 

Peter Bissonnette made a statement and, with Ken Stein and Alex Park, answered questions.

 

At 6:00 p.m., the sitting was suspended.
