M-136 Recognition of Lebanese Independence Day

That, in the opinion of the House, the government should recognize the outstanding contributions that Lebanese-Canadians have made to Canada’s social, economic and political life and formally acknowledge the universal significance of November 22, the anniversary of Lebanese independence, as an important commemoration that transcends cultural and linguistic barriers, and a time for the whole community to share expressions of joy for the freedom and independence of Lebanese people around the world.
