Pursuant to Standing Order 106(2), the clerk of the committee presided over the election of a vice-chair.

On motion of Annie Koutrakis, it was agreed, — That Mark Strahl be elected Vice-Chair of the committee.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, February 3, 2022, the committee resumed its study of Anticipated Labour Shortages in the Canadian Transportation Sector.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of Large Port Infrastructure Expansion Projects in Canada, the clerk of the committee, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a preliminary travel submission respecting the committee's proposed travel to St. John's, NL, Halifax, NS, Montréal, QC, Hamilton- Niagara (region), ON, Vancouver, BC, Prince Rupert, BC, Seattle, Washington, United States of America in the Spring of 2023.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the impact of commercial shipping on shoreline erosion, the clerk of the committee, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a preliminary travel submission respecting the committee's proposed travel to the ridings of Pierre-Boucher-Les Patriotes-Verchères and Berthier-Maskinongé in the Spring of 2023.

At 6:49 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
