Pursuant to Standing Order 107(1), the subcommittee resumed its study on budget submissions.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development be granted a study budget of $106,450.00 for its study of freshwater.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development be granted a supplementary study budget of $8,000.00 for its study of the situation at the Russia-Ukraine border and implications for peace and security.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Health be granted a study budget of $57,000.00 for its study of women’s health.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Indigenous and Northern Affairs be granted a study budget of $62,000.00 for its study of Bill C-53, An Act respecting the recognition of certain Métis governments in Alberta, Ontario and Saskatchewan, to give effect to treaties with those governments and to make consequential amendments to other Acts.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security be granted a supplementary study budget of $2,500.00 for its study of Bill C 20, An Act Establishing the Public Complaints and Review Commission and amending certain Acts and statutory instruments.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Science and Research be granted a study budget of $49,350.00 for its study of integration of indigenous traditional knowledge and science in government policy development.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Transport, Infrastructure and Communities be granted a study budget of $28,500.00 for its study Bill C-33, An Act to amend the Customs Act, the Railway Safety Act, the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, 1992, the Marine Transportation Security Act, the Canada Transportation Act and the Canada Marine Act and to make a consequential amendment to another Act.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans be granted a travel budget of $178,252.60 to travel to Whitehorse, Yukon; Carmacks, Yukon; and Dawson City, Yukon, in the Winter of 2024, in relation to its study of the population sustainability of Pacific salmon stocks.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities be granted a travel budget of $63,487.83 to travel to Toronto, Ontario, and Montréal, Québec, in the Winter of 2024, in relation to its study of the implications of artificial intelligence technologies for the Canadian labor force.
