The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That parties submit their witness lists in relation to the study of children’s health to the clerk by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 18, 2022.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, May 30, 2022, the committee proceeded to a briefing on labour shortages in the health care sector and the Foreign Credential Recognition Program.

Andrew Brown made a statement and, with Erin Connell, answered questions.

At 5:04 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, the committee resumed its study of the emergency situation facing Canadians in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kathy Thompson made a statement and answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

Stephen Ellis gave notice of the following motion:

That the committee undertake a study into the domestic and international roles of the National Microbiology Lab in Winnipeg; that this study includes discussions into the research being done at this facility, the safety and security measures in place, and the implications of recent international media stories regarding its scientific integrity; and that the committee report its findings and recommendations to the House.
