Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, January 31, 2022, the committee resumed its study of Vaccine Equity and Intellectual Property Rights.

Diana Sarosi and France-Isabelle Langlois made statements and, with Brittany Lambert, answered questions.

At 12:05 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:06 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Robyn Waite and Shehzad Ali made statements and answered questions.

On motion of Heather McPherson, it was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(1)(a), the Committee order that all briefing notes, memos and emails regarding lobby meetings between the government and pharmaceutical companies where vaccine equity was discussed since March 2020 be provided to the Committee no later than April 21, 2022; that matters of Cabinet confidence be excluded from the request; and that redactions for commercially sensitive information are applied only where strictly necessary.

Questioning of the witnesses resumed.

At 1:02 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
