Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, June 13, 2022, the committee proceeded to a briefing from the Office of the Law Clerk on the study of Hockey Canada’s involvement in alleged sexual assaults committed in 2018.

Michel Bédard made a statement and answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That, notwithstanding the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, June 13, 2022, in relation to the study of Hockey Canada’s involvement in alleged sexual assaults committed in 2018, the committee acknowledge Glen McCurdie’s response that he is currently unable to appear before it, and agree that a summons for his presence on Monday, June 20, 2022, not be issued.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 8,225, for the study of Hockey Canada’s involvement in alleged sexual assaults committed in 2018, be adopted.

ORDERED, — That an order do issue for a copy of any non-disclosure agreement or settlement agreement in the possession of Hockey Canada or the Hockey Canada Foundation which is relevant to the order of reference of Thursday, June 2, 2022, and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, June 13, 2022, provided that the documents shall be: (a) deposited with the Office of the Law Clerk and Parliamentary Counsel within 48 hours of the adoption of this motion; and (b) reviewed by this committee in camera.

At 4:34 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
