Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, October 19, 2023, the committee commenced its study of electronic logging device requirements and animal transport.

Jack Chaffe, René Roy and Cathy Jo Noble made statements and, with Ryder Lee, Eric Schwindt and David Fehr, answered questions.

At 9:19 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:26 a.m., the sitting resumed.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $26,750, for the study of electronic logging device requirements and animal transport, be adopted.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, October 19, 2023, the committee resumed its study of electronic logging device requirements and animal transport.

Susan Fitzgerald, Barbara Cartwright and Lynn Kavanagh made statements and, with Eric Schwindt and Don Shantz, answered questions.

At 10:24 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
