Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, March 22, 2021, the committee resumed its study of low-carbon and renewable fuels industry in Canada.

Amit Kumar, Giovanni Angelucci, Bob Larocque, Josh Gustafson, W. Scott Thurlow and Jean-François Samray made statements and, with David Schick, answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Fourth Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, which read as follows, be concurred in:

Your subcommittee met on Monday, May 3, 2021, to consider the business of the committee and agreed to make the following recommendation:


1. That, pursuant to the order of reference from the House that was referred to the committee on Friday, April 30, 2021, the committee study Bill S-3, An Act to amend the Offshore Health and Safety Act; and invite the Minister of Natural Resources; representatives from the Newfoundland and Labrador Oil and Gas Industries Association; and representatives from Unifor Local 2121 to appear at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 10, 2021, before proceeding to clause-by-clause consideration of the Bill.

It was agreed, — That Norman Goyette be permitted to be assisted by counsel when he appears in relation to the study of low-carbon and renewable fuels in Canada.

At 3:09 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
