Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, November 26, 2020, the committee resumed its study of controlling or coercive conduct within intimate relationships.

The committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

Pursuant to the order of reference of Wednesday, February 17, 2021, the committee resumed consideration of Bill C-218, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (sports betting).

The committee commenced its clause-by-clause study of the Bill.

Pursuant to Standing Order 75(1), consideration of Clause 1 (short title) was postponed.

The Chair called Clause 2.

On Clause 2,

Vance Badawey moved, — That Bill C-218, in Clause 2, be amended by replacing lines 5 to 7 on page 1 with the following:

2 Paragraph 207(4)(b) of the Criminal Code is replaced by the following:

(b) bookmaking, pool selling or the making or recording of bets, including bets made through the agency of a pool or pari-mutuel system, on any horse-race; or

After debate, the question was put on the amendment of Vance Badawey and it was agreed to on the following recorded division:
