Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee commenced its study of National Human Trafficking Awareness Day.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the following report to the House:
The committee recommends that, given the unanimous declaration of the House on Thursday, February 22, 2007, to condemn all forms of human trafficking and slavery, the House:
(a) encourage Canadians to hear from victims and survivors of human trafficking;
(b) encourage Canadians to raise awareness of the magnitude of modern-day slavery in Canada and abroad and to take steps to combat human trafficking; and
(c) recognize the 22nd day of February as National Human Trafficking Awareness Day.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

At 10:58 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:14 a.m., the sitting resumed in public.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, the committee resumed its study of the challenges faced by women living in rural communities.
