Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, the committee resumed its study of processing capacity.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 4:30 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:39 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 81(5) and to the order of reference of Tuesday, February 16, 2021, the committee consider the Supplementary Estimates (C) before the end of the current supply period and that it invite the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food to appear for this study.

It was agreed, — That the committee undertake a study of Bill C-206, An Act to amend the Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act (qualifying farming fuel); that an initial meeting be held to that effect on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, or on Thursday, March 11, 2021; that the sponsor of the bill be invited to appear for the first hour; that the committee start planning the study during the second hour; and that the political parties compile their witness lists in advance of this meeting.

The committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for a draft report.

At 5:30 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
