Minutes of Proceedings
It was agreed, — That the Chair, in consultation with the clerk of the committee and the analysts, prepare draft letters with regard to the status of the committee’s work on the Fraud Calls in Canada study and on the Investment Canada Act study; that the letters include a summary of evidence as well as a list of recommendations for each study; that the letters be addressed to the appropriate minister, and that once approved by the committee, those letters be sent to the appropriate minister and published on the committee’s website.
It was agreed, — That the committee invite senior representatives from Loblaw Companies Ltd., Metro Inc. and Empire Company Ltd. as well as representatives of their respective labour organizations to appear before the committee by videoconference during the week of July 6, 2020.
At 1:01 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
