Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Wednesday, September 27, 2017, the Committee resumed consideration of Bill C-21, An Act to amend the Customs Act.

Brenda McPhail, by videoconference from Toronto, Ontario, and Eric Jacksch made statements and answered questions.

At 9:44 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:48 a.m., the sitting resumed.

Mieke Bos made a statement and, with Marc-André Daigle and Emmanuelle Deault-Bonin, answered questions.

At 10:38 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:40 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Eighth Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, which read as follows, be concurred in:

Your Subcommittee met on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, to consider the business of the Committee and agreed to make the following recommendations:

1. That the draft calendar of activities be adopted.

2. That the list of selected witnesses for the study of Bill C-21, An Act to Amend the Customs Act, be adopted.

At 10:49 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
