Pursuant to the motion adopted by the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development on Thursday, February 4, 2016, and the motion adopted by the Subcommittee Wednesday, December 7, 2016, the Subcommittee resumed its study of the human rights situation in South Sudan.

Kenneth Scott, by videoconference from Denver, Colorado, made a statement and answered questions.

At 2:12 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
