Pursuant to the motion adopted by the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development on February 4, 2016, and the motion adopted by the Subcommittee on June 16, 2016, the Subcommittee resumed its study on the Human Rights Situation in Burundi.

Leslie Norton made a statement and, with Jean-Bernard Parenteau, answered questions.

At 1:55 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 1:55 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Subcommittee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $15,400.00, for the study of the Human Rights Situation in Burundi, be adopted.

At 1:58 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
