The Subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Subcommittee business.

The Clerk gave a presentation on the financial status of the global envelope for committee activities.


Pursuant to Standing Order 107(1), the Subcommittee resumed its study on budget submissions.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development be granted a travel budget of $84,507.60 to travel to Vancouver, Masset, Queen Charlotte, Sandspit, Victoria and Sidney, British Columbia and to Calgary, Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper and Edmonton, Alberta, in the Summer-Fall of 2016, in relation to its study on federal protected areas and conservation objectives.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on National Defence be granted a travel budget of $26,286.20 to travel to Halifax, Nova Scotia, in the Summer-Fall of 2016, in relation to its study on Canada and the Defence of North America.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security be granted a travel budget of $106,363.20 to travel to Vancouver, British Columbia; Calgary, Alberta; Toronto, Ontario; Montreal, Quebec and to Halifax, Nova Scotia, in the Fall of 2016, in relation to its study on Canada’s National Security Framework.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Finance be granted a travel budget of $87,288 to travel to Kelowna, British Columbia; Edmonton, Alberta; Regina, Saskatchewan and to Winnipeg, Manitoba, in the Fall of 2016, in relation to its pre-budget consultations in advance of the 2017 budget.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Finance be granted a travel budget of $43,207.80 to travel to Quebec, Quebec and to Toronto, Ontario, in the Fall of 2016, in relation to its pre-budget consultations in advance of the 2017 budget.

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Finance be granted a travel budget of $51,650.40 to travel to Fredericton, New Brunswick; Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and to Halifax, Nova Scotia in the Fall of 2016, in relation to its pre-budget consultations in advance of the 2017 budget.

At 1:52 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
