At 5:16 p.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 5:17 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.
It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Natural Resources extend its current study of secondary supply chain products in the forestry sector to explore:
- the connections between the "traditional" forestry industry and innovators who are seeking to capitalize on new markets and technology innovations, with a focus on the supply of forest resources and demand for advanced forest bioproducts and services;
- the possible role for the federal government in developing the bioeconomy in Canada.
At 5:34 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
